On the weekend of 28th and 29th of June the Whilton Mill circuit will host the fourth running of the Ace and King of clubs meeting.  15 teams from around the country will come together to race for the accolades of King of Clubs, for the winning club, and Ace of Clubs, for the winning driver in each final.

Only drivers selected by their Clubs are permitted to enter and those with numbers 0 to 15 from any 2007 championship are not permitted to race in that class.

Regulations and Procedures  

1.                  Up to two drivers will be allowed from each club selected by their committee.  The drivers must not hold a current sacred number in their class i.e. “0” to 15.

2.                  Race Classes  – Cadet Honda, Comer, WTP, Junior TKM, Mini Max, Junior Rotax UK , TKM Extreme, Rotax 177, Rotax Max.

3.                  Class regulations to the Kart Race Yearbook 2008.

4.                  Each club will be allocated a pair of numbers which will be used by all of their team.

5.                  Only official entry forms may be used these are complete with Club, Class and Allotted Kart Number.  They will be delivered to the club's allotted person during May.

6.                  Expanded Saturday Program
6.1 Saturday Signing On from 8-30am

6.2 Drivers briefing 9-15am

6.3 Saturday testing from 9-30am through to 13-30, transponders must be fitted

6.4 Scrutineering by class in timed practice order from 13-30

6.5 Saturday afternoon 14-45 drivers briefing for timed practice

6.6 Saturday afternoon 15-00  timed practice in the order Cadet Honda, Comer, WTP, Junior TKM, Mini Max, Junior Rotax, TKM Extreme, Rotax 177, Rotax Max

7.                  Timed practice will take the form of 10 minute sessions per class, drivers may leave the circuit and rejoin provided that
7.1 They are weighed prior to leaving Parc Ferme
7.2 That they are moved from Parc Ferme to the Dummy Grid on a Trolley
7.3 That they only leave the Dummy Grid when signalled that it is safe to do so.
7.4 That once the chequered flag is shown the session is closed.
7.5 A driver not obtaining a time will be placed on the back of the heat grids.

          7.6 Drivers from Camberley Kart Club who have a race meeting on the Saturday will be placed in a middle grid position for the two heats.

8.                  On Sunday race day each class will have two heats with the grid according to their timed practice results.

Expanded Sunday Program

8.1  Signing on for those who did not attend Saturday 8-45am to 9-15am Sunday

8.2  Drivers briefing 9-15am

8.3  Practice 9-30am

8.4  First heat 10-15am

9.                  The heats will be a minimum of 6(Cadet) or 7 laps.

10.              The points awarded for the heats will count towards the grid for the First Final. The finishing position in the first final sets the grid for the Main Final.

11.              In heats and the finals the points scheme is 1st 32, 2nd 30, 3rd 29, 4th 28 etc

12.              The finals will be over 15 minutes plus 1 lap (up to 18 laps for senior classes)

13.              The winning team the “King of Clubs” is that which has totalled the highest number of points over the Main Finals, best 5 to count or 6 if there is a tie.  Each member of the winning team receives a trophy and the club hold the “King of Clubs” perpetual trophy for one year.

14.              The winning driver in each class receives the perpetual trophy and a trophy to keep as “Ace of Clubs”.

15.              If a driver cannot attend on the Saturday he/she may race on the Sunday at a reduced cost of £45 but will start at the back of the grid for the heats.  The fee for Saturday and Sunday combined is £80.

16.              The circuit is open from Friday evening, all hard standing pit bays must be allocated in advance by calling 01280 816512.  Park on the grass if you have not booked a pit bay!
